Objective of Activity: - The objective of installing ISHRAE student chapter is to get more students interested, concerned, and involved in pursuing a career in the field of heating, ventilating, air conditioning and refrigeration.
Brief Description of Activity:The department of Mechanical Engineering established Indian Society of Heating Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineers (ISHRAE) Students Chapter for the society year 2022-23 on 24th August, 2022.
The ceremony was conducted in the presence of Dr. Lalitkumar Wadhwa (Principal); Dr. Satish More (Head of the Department); Prof. Rohit R Jadhao & Prof.Mangesh Kale (Faculty Advisor NMIET-ISHRAE Student Chapter), Faculty members of the department and ISHRAE Pune Chapter Office Bearers – Mr. Nandkishor Kotkar (Elect. A Technical Talk lecture was delivered by HVAC consultant Mr. Amit Gulwande (Founder of M/s Studio 29, Technical Chair ISHRAE Pune Chapter) on “The basic of HVAC& R Systems”
Outcome Achieved: Students were encouraged to participate in various activities organized under ISHRAE Chapter and understood the principles and working of HVAC and R systems through technical talks.

Objective of Activity: - The main objective of the Session is to be complete and cover all features and commands that QCAD software offers. QCAD is the open source application for computer aided drafting (CAD) in two dimensions (2D). With QCAD you can create technical drawings such as plans for buildings, interiors, mechanical parts or schematics and diagrams.
Implementation Methodology: - To implement this Online Student Development Program, student use of spoken tutorials to popularize software learning and its use will be coordinated through this website. The main objective to implement this methodology is to promote IT literacy for education and improve the employment potential of learners in India, using FOSS (free and open source software).

Brief Description of Activity. WITNESS is predictive simulation software used for capacity planning & testing of industrial production or service functions by service industry. By knowing input variable capacity planning is done effectively by using simulation well in advance. In this session student learnt how WITNESS helps to plan the work function whether it is a production activity or service activity offered by any organization. Inventory management time required to complete the routine functions can be optimized that is explained by seeing various simulation examples for effective production management.
Outcome Achieved: After session students get the knowledge about how simulator like WITNESS can be used for managing routine function at factory shop floor. For daily shifts with available resources production targets are achievable or not that can be cross checked with the simulated results.
